Ingredients

Homemade  Cinnamon Brown Sugar Pop Tarts

– pie crust – vanilla extract – powdered sugar – milk – ground cinnamon – brown sugar – butter softened – egg

In a mixing bowl, incorporate the powdered sugar, milk, 1/2 tbs cinnamon, and 1/2 tbs vanilla. Set aside.

In another mixing bowl, incorporate the brown sugar, butter, and remaining cinnamon and vanilla.

On a flat floured surface, roll out the pie crust to 1/4” thick, and cut it into half. Set one half aside and roll out the other half.

Lay thin half of the crust on a sheet pan with half of it lying off the side. Fill the bottom half of the crust with half of the cinnamon sugar filling.

Fold over the top crust and crimp or pinch the crust shut. Make sure to remove the air in the tart as you seal it.

In a cup or a bowl, beat the egg to create an egg wash. Brush the top of the tart with the egg wash. Using a toothpick, poke holes to allow air to escape as you cook.

Place the sheet pan in the oven at 350°  for 8 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool to room temp and then pour the icing over the tart.

Slice the tart into the portion size desired.
