Boots, my cat, got out the house thy day before Christmas Eve. I didn't notice him missing until the next morning when he didn't come to wake me. I was frantic. He must have gotten out when I put out the trash. I spent the whole day calling him and crying. I put out flyers by the mailbox. On Christmas morning my neighbor rang my bell and he had Boots in his arms. Boots had joined his kittens for breakfast that day.
