Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival 2019 – My Top Picks!

Hello, all of my Lovelies! As many of you have heard the Food & Wine Festival is happening now at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. It’s one of my favorite times of the year purely because my love of food is as equal to my love of riding rollercoasters. The 2019 Food & Wine Festival is held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 17 – June 30.

Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival 2019 – My Top Picks!

One of the best perks of being a Thrill Chaser Ambassador with Busch Gardens is that I am one of the first to know which food and drinks will be featured each year. I was extremely ecstatic to learn that my home country The Phillippines would be a feature in this year’s festival.

Along with The Philippines, guests can look forward to 3 other New Food Kiosks representing Mexico, Jamacia, and Italy. For more information about these countries and menus look below. Can’t wait to attend this year’s festival? In addition to the delicious international flavors, special offerings like craft brewery talks, wine, tequila, and scotch tastings* also will be offered.  And to make it easy, Food & Wine Festival Food & Beverage Samplers* can be purchased for festival-goers to get it all. Tastings and samplers require an additional fee.

Philippines Kiosk

While I wish I could have tried every single menu option at each food kiosk. I was sadly limited in time and stomach space. I feel like this specific kiosk deserves its own section of this review, simply because it’s literally a taste of my home.

Going into this festival I knew there would be some classic Filipino dishes being served, as well as some familiar drinks. I pretty much ordered the full food menu and added on the Melon Juice. I’m not a huge alcoholic drink consumer (Unless the occasion calls for one *cough* Pina Colada addict over here) so I tend to order the more sweet drinks.

Menu:

  • Chicken Adobo
  • Siopao
  • Mamon
  • Melon Juice
  • Boracray – Cocktail
  • Moselland – Riesling Painted Landmark
  • Nobel Vines – 446 Chardonnay

I think I spoil my kids with the number of times I make Filipino Chicken Adobo at home because when we tried it in the park they gave me that face. You know that face kids make when they are thinking “this isn’t my mom’s Chicken Adobo”.

I actually make a family recipe that was handed down to me by my stepmother. Overall I loved the food and wished I had more time to go back for 2nds and 3rds!
