Captain America: Civil War Skittles® Soda
As a faithful Marvel family, my family and I are super psyched about the premiere of Captain America: Civil War in theaters everywhere on May 6th, 2016. You can find the full trailer (which revealed Spider-Man will be joining in!) and full details about the movie here.
It’s really hard to choose which team you will be on throughout the movie. While some of us are on Team Captain America, others are on Team Iron Man. I personally am on Team Captain America, while my boys, of course, are on Team Iron Man.
Captain America: Civil War
Since the battle has begun amongst me and my crew, I decided to make some fun drinks to celebrate. I found a great deal on Skittles® at my local Dollar General store. Captain America: Civil War Inspired Drink
To keep things fun I made some delicious Skittles® Soda drink for my family and me to enjoy while we rewatch my favorite Marvel Movies until May 6th when Captain America: Civil War premieres.
Since the lines have been drawn in our home (my family and I are taking this rivalry very seriously right now) I made sure each drink fit our personalities. I made a yellow Iron Man theme drink for my sons because they love eating Sour Skittles®, so I made a yellow Iron Man-themed drink for them.
Team Iron Man Skittles Drink
It was so simple to make they made their own drinks for the rest of the night once I showed them what to do. For each drink I instructed them to put 15 pieces of the Skittles® candy in the color they wanted, in this case, it was yellow.
Once they have those 15 pieces they just add some Sprite Soda and then a generous amount of ice to keep their drink cold. The fun part about this drink is when you get near the bottom, you will start to get surprise pieces of Skittles®.
Team Captain America Skillets Soda
My daughters chose the color red for our Team Captain America drink, they did the same thing as the boys and inserted their 15 pieces of candy and then their soda. You can put a spin on this and use a straw to drink your soda, but just a heads up mom since we figured it out the hard way.
Make sure to get any extra big straw if you are choosing to fish for those Skittles® out of the bottom of the soda. If you would like to have more candy in your drink, feel free to add as much as you like! The possibilities are endless with this simple Captain America: Civil War Inspired soda drink.

Skittles are definitely one of my favorite candies, i love crushing them before i eat them, and watching the shattered patterns. silly i know, but i love it. and makes em taste even better 🙂

I guess I would choose the regular skittles for my drink. I’m a huge fan of the captain America series and I’m so looking forward to the Civil War movie and what’s really great is Spiderman’s going to be in the movie. I’m looking forward to the movie because the plot must be pretty good.
My kids are never fond of skittles but this sounds like a good refreshment for the summer.

Those drinks look fantastic! I love making your own fruity drink out of Sprite, and the bonus Skittles at the bottom are great!
