Five Feet Apart Film Review

If you had to, would you be able to love someone whom you could never touch or even share a warm hug with? Or better yet, would you be able to love them the way you want, all while having to stay five feet apart from them at all times?

This is something I could never phantom, having to love someone and never be able to embrace them or share a simple touch.

Life’s Too Short To Waste A Second

The film Five Feet Apart is a beautifully told love story that proves you can love someone five feet apart. Even if it wasn’t your choice to do so. Grab your tissues and snuggle up with your loved ones, for a love story fit for the whole family.

I snuggled up with my mom and little ones to watch the film Five Feet Apart. Going in I knew it was a love story about two teens who were both sick and not able to touch each other. Stella and Will both suffer from cystic fibrosis, a disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time.

Stella who is a long-time patient of the hospital meets an unlikely friend who will change the course of her life. Will is a spunky teen who isn’t too high in his spirits when he first arrives. Through time both teens become infatuated with each other and eventually fall in love.

Five Feet Apart Movie Review

I absolutely LOVED this film, I’m such a big crier when it comes to love films. Especially ones that move you and make you remember why it’s so important to care for the ones you love in life. This film is truly a beautiful love story told in the most beautiful way. It is free of any cuss words, nudity, and suggestive sexual nature. It’s just wholesome and good for your soul.

I recommend you grab your little ones and anyone you love and watch this film together. I think it will leave you in tears just as it did with me, and make you appreciate the simple notion of “touch” as an expression of love.

I definitely grabbed my kids and gave them huge hugs when the movie was over. I could never imagine not being able to touch and hold my babies.

Why I loved Five Feet Apart

It took some type of strength and love in Will to do what he did for Stella in the film. Don’t worry I won’t spoil it for you, because truly that part really got to me. Love is neverending and truly has no bounds. This example of love is what makes me excited for my kids to one day experience it for themselves.

If I can take away one thing from this film it would have to be to not take for granted the simple expression of touch. A touch can mean a lot to the ones we love, including our kids.

A simple touch can calm them and make them feel safe and loved. Don’t take for granted such a simple expression of love, it’s more powerful than you think it is. Especially for those who love you back.

Five Feet Apart Care Package From Stella

I received a fun care package from Stella to help make our movie experience stellar. We were given a cute little panda, just like the one she had on her nightstand in the film. Along with a sketchbook and coloring pencils that my son Anthony couldn’t wait to use.

Just like Stella and Will in the film, my son Anthony is a budding artist who expresses himself through drawings. To honor the film he drew a heart for the head over heels in love teens.

About The Film Five Feet Apart

Stella Grant (Haley Lu Richardson) is every bit a seventeen-year-old: she’s attached to her laptop and loves her best friends. But unlike most teenagers, she spends much of her time living in a hospital as a cystic fibrosis patient.

Her life is full of routines, boundaries, and self-control, all of which is put to the test when she meets an impossibly charming fellow CF patient named Will Newman (Cole Sprouse).

There’s an instant flirtation, though restrictions dictate that they must maintain a safe distance between them. As their connection intensifies, so does the temptation to throw the rules out the window and embrace that attraction.

Further complicating matters is Will’s potentially dangerous rebellion against his ongoing medical treatment. Stella gradually inspires Will to live life to the fullest, but can she ultimately save the person she loves when even a single touch is off-limits?

“Thank you CBS Films for partnering with me to bring this beautiful review. All thoughts, opinions and tears are 100% my own.”
