Goldfish Trail Mix
In my life, it seems like some things just fall into place ever so perfectly. I wouldn’t say everything does but sometimes everything works out without the extra effort. In this case, it was a total accident that started something delicious in my home.
In 2017 I road tripped with my kids to Florida armed with wholesale quantity-sized snacks and multiple DVDs. The kids were of course very excited to be on our way to Florida and handled the two days drive a lot better than I expected.

Summer Trail Mix
I attribute that to the fact I had basically my own corner store in snacks traveling with us in the 2017 Kia Sedona. Fast forward to when we were on the last day of our Florida Vacation. We had finally hit the bottom of our snack stockpile and it was random bits of the kid’s favorite snacks.

It was at that moment I said hey let’s mix what we have left and add in something they would surely approve of. At that moment my families favorite on the go trail mix was born. The main star of this trail mix was, of course, the delicious Goldfish Crackers my family loves and this mom trusts.

I like to listen to the kids tell their friends what their favorite combination of trail mix is. To my surprise, it is a great way to learn what their friends like and also help customize the next batch by adding more of what they like or minimizing what they don’t.

How to Store the Goldfish Trail Mix
Also if you haven’t seen them yet Goldfish Crackers now come in Resealable Bag’s which make this recipe even more travel-friendly. I like to whip everything together and then throw them in the resealable bag.
I love being able to throw away the bag when my family is finished when we are traveling. It makes for less of a mess and less of a hassle of worrying about grabbing the normal plastic container we use for our snacks.
