Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream 2022
This year’s Howl-O-Scream event at Busch Gardens Williamsburg was epic! I was recently invited by Busch Gardens to experience the spine-chilling scares up close and personal. Let’s just say I got way more than I bargained for.
As you walk into the park you are welcomed by many creepy, weird and might I say scary characters. Adventure through Terror-Tories™ & Roaming Scares that are full of haunting characters, decorations, and a spider the size of your dog.
Howl-O-Scream Haunted Houses
The haunted houses were my favorite part of the event, they are hosting 5 haunted houses this year. With three new haunted houses that you won’t want to miss.

- Witch of the Woods™
- KILLarney Diner
I highly recommend opting to upgrade your visit with a Quick Queue pass. The Quick Queue passes allow you to skip the regular lines, which can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours to work through.
Sinister Shows
Don’t miss this year’s Howl-O-Scream four-spirited productions that are said to be “worth dying for.” Guests can enjoy showtimes throughout the day and night in indoor theatres and in Ireland villages.
- Jack is Back. The popular disco dance celebration returns to Ireland village with pumpkins, scarecrows, and Howl-O-Scream’s® legendary character, Jack.
- Phantoms of the Festhaus. This isn’t your typical singing contest. Join the living audience as a NEW lineup of your favorite ghouls take on spooky hits, and the winner is put to vote. The more spirited the audience is, the more exciting the competition is.
- Skeletones. This lively vocal troupe leaves nothing but bones on Il Teatro Di San Marco’s stage in Italy. Take a break from the scares with this spooky ensemble. LEARN MORE
- Monster Stomp® on Ripper Row This modern rock and rhythm spectacular features Jack the Ripper like you’ve never seen him before. Electrifying percussion, dynamic dance, and sensational singing return to Globe Theatre stage in a pulse-pounding revue.

- Do not attend with smaller children who are not prepared to be scared.
- Scout out which haunted houses you would like to visit first. (MAKE A PLAN)
- Grab a Quick Queue Unlimited Pass – Skip the huge lines and cut down your wait time!
- Make sure you indulge in some Halloween-themed treats and drinks while in the park.
- Wear a comfortable costume with comfortable shoes.
- Bring as few valuables as possible.
- If you do need to carry bulky valuables bring a small backpack or fanny pack.
