Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Recipe Tips
If you want your chocolate to be super thick mix 3 tbsp milk with 1 tbsp cornstarch. Add it to the hot chocolate and stir until desired consistency.
Alternatively, if you would like a thicker hot chocolate consistency, swap out 1 cup of milk for heavy cream.

Ingredients
- 8 Cups milk
- 1 Cup heavy cream
- ½ Cup sugar
- ½ Cup cocoa powder
- 1 ½ Cups semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- ¼ Cup salted caramel
Instructions
- Set the Instant Pot on the saute setting. Add all the ingredients and whisk vigorously until incorporated. Bring to a simmer and cook for 4 minutes or until the chocolate is melted and combined.
- Serve topped with heavy cream or whipped cream and salted caramel drizzle.
Notes
- You can also cook it in the slow cooker. Just set on high for 2 hours.
