The kids and I recently visited our neighboring capital city Washington D.C. to attend a Nintendo Switch Event. My family was among the very first to experience the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch System. The event was huge and the games were endless, the kids had eyed which games they wanted to play as soon as we walked through the door.
Nintendo Switch Event – Review and Vlog
Many of the games were multiplayer which means all of my kids were able to play at the same time. The overall system was very light and my youngest didn’t have an issue using it or picking it up. The screen was a decent size and we felt like we weren’t squinting our eyes to see the screen.
It was huge in my opinion and it was a great size for adults and children alike. The thin lightweight feature was perfect for little hands and it allowed my kids to play easily by not having bulky bodies.

Attending the Nintendo Switch Event
I love the familiar games they featured as well as the new games that my kids were dying to play. Keturah was very excited to play Just Dance 2017 and had a great time trying out the new dance routines.
Although her little sister was excited to join she was overwhelmed by the great music and decided to just watch as her sister danced her little heart out.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild
Malik and Anthony had their hearts set on playing The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Due to the overwhelming demand for everyone who wanted to play we were unable to play during this event. This game will definitely be the first game the boys will buy to play on their systems.
Lend a Helping Hand
I’m sure I will be able to “lend a helping hand” when they start to play. The switch from using the Nintendo Switch Screen to the TV application amplified each of the games. The controllers shown above were small yet perfectly sized for their hands. The ability to switch to a more familiar controller was easy and the boys enjoyed the flexibility.
Nintendo Switch Rating
Overall I would give this a mom rating of 5 out of 5 stars, for being such a flexible system as well as having games that all of my kids could enjoy. This system can be used for the whole family or bought individually for each child.
The many games this system features offer interactive multiplayer games that adults and kids alike could enjoy. If you have ever wanted to take your WiiU on the go and play with your friends, this is the system for you. I will be purchasing these for my kiddos to play with for the summer road trips we plan to take.
