I can only imagine how amazing and frightening it would be if we did walk amongst dinosaurs today. I’m sure any kid wouldn’t mind riding a long neck who is as awesome as Arlo. What’s your kid’s favorite dinosaur? Have you seen the new Disney and Pixar Movie The Good Dinosaur Yet?

To start, we will need to preheat our oven to 375 degrees. In a large mixing bowl add the sugars, butter, vanilla, and egg. Using a hand mixer, blend until just they are just combined. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt, the dough will be stiff, see the photos below for reference. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake as directed on the recipe card or until light brown (centers will be soft). Let them cool slightly in the pan before removing them from the cookie sheet. Allow them to cool on a wire rack. or eat them straight from the pan, Enjoy!

No need to let this cookie dough rest, you can bake it as soon as the cookie dough is ready. I highly suggest you try this recipe with milk chocolate chips, they really make this recipe soar.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package, 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups) I used Milk Chocolate Chips in my cookies but you can have either of them.

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375ºF.
  2. Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips.
  3. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
