The wait is over! The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run is now streaming on Paramount+ and on Demand. The girls and I had a fun movie night snacking on popcorn we made in our SpongeBob popcorn maker, and eating all types of candy.
Overall we loved this film! It’s the first-ever SpongeBob film delivered to the big screen in CGI and we are going crazy over it. Get ready to have an almost 3D look at Bikini Bottom, The Krusty Krab, The Lost City, and more!

This silly film fits perfectly with the previous films and the SpongeBob franchise. Similar to an episode that aired many years ago, Gary, SpongeBob’s closest and best friend in the world has been snail-napped! It’s up to the infamous duo to find Gare Bear!
Not only did we get to see the whole Bikini Bottom gang. But we were treated with a guest appearance from Keanu Reeves, who appears to the duo as a Sage in a sage tumbleweed. With intentions to help this silly duo find Gary.
The SpongeBob Movie Sponge On The Run Movie Review
This fun under-the-sea adventure is perfect for family movie nights and for the SpongeBob fan in your home. I loved seeing this whole world displayed in CGI, and how they all kept the animated personalities that we have grown to love them for.
We also loved getting to see the beginning of Gary and SpongeBob’s friendship and how they met at Kamp Koral. It was such a touching scene that prompted a family hug.
