Soda isn’t just for drinking, you can use it in every day recipes as well. Put some fun twists on your favorite dishes by adding a soda to the ingredients. Below are some methods that I have personally used, my dad always tells me to add soda to my BBQ marinades.
I keep telling him it seemed weird but I tried it and found out it wasn’t bad at all! I hope you are able to use these methods with your family and have a great laugh at the dinner table when you tell them the secret ingredient in their dishes.

1. Marinating
Put an interesting twist on your next BBQ marinade by adding a dark or light soda to the mix. Not to much but just enough to create the consistency you are looking for. The soda will sink into the meat quickly and make the meat taste oh so delicious.
2. Sauces
Spice up your sauce with a splash of your favorite lemon and lime soda or cola! Gives it a slight kick to what was just needed a splash of something new and different.

3. Substitute For Eggs
Substitute your egg’s with Mountain Dew! Yes I said substitute your egg’s with Mountain Dew! Among the very few substitutes for egg’s Mountain Dew proves to be a very good switch out for egg’s when you seem to be all out.
For those who are vegetarian count this as a dual plus since you get to have your soda and enjoy your favorite guilty pleasures! Woohoo for Mountain Dew!
Fun Fact: Mountain Dew also adds extra moisture to your baked goods ensuring your sweet treats won’t dry out like other substitutes.
