Take a virtual tour of Walt Disney’s office, located in Los Angeles, California. This special visit to Walt Disney’s Office offers a unique look at where all the original Disney magic came from. My trip to Walt’s office took place during the pirate’s life event in LA.
A Visit To Walt Disney’s Office
Disney movies have this magic that no one can really explain, it’s all a feeling and a belief that things are more than they seem. I had the opportunity to see where the magic started and where many of the movies we see today began their journey. While in LA I had the special privilege to visit Walt Disney’s Office! It was such an honor to be able to see where the man behind the infamous mouse did most of his work.
Fun fact: Some of the Walt Disney films we are just now seeing in the past few years, were discussed in this very office many years ago.

Stepping Back In Time
Walts office was just recently restored to its original state, all the way down to the placement of the paper clips. To make this possible they used photos taken a long time ago as a reference as to where everything would be placed. It’s like stepping back in time when you see his office, and to think all the magic started in here. It’s unreal and such a delight to see everything in person.
Walt’s Secretary’s Office
Walt’s Secretary had a modest space, across from her desk you can find a case full of the many Oscar awards Walt Disney won as well as some other fabulous awards he has won. I had to think about how many people have walked through this room towards Walt’s actual office. The many people who stood here looking at this same case and being in amazement like myself are just astounding.
Walt’s Office
Hello Magic! This was where it all happened yall! This is exactly where Walt Disney sat at and began the journey of many movies we treasure to this day. We were told that during a recent visit from Walts grandkids as they walked through the office they reminisced about sitting on that couch and playing with the model airplanes as children.
They said they were surprised to have seen those same airplanes still intact. As kids, they would just toss them across the room and surely never thought they wouldn’t have survived till now. It was an amazing feeling to know that Walt Disney once stood in this room and now I’m here feeling all the magic in person.
Where Walt Would Retire After A Long Day
Walt had his own little flat in his office, where he had a bathroom, comfortable couch and a quiet place to unwind after a long day. Since then that space was renovated and as you see in the photos, where the bathroom once stood if just an empty space today. In this room, you will find many character portraits drawn by others for Walt, as well as some other historical Art Work.
The Winter Olympic Torch of 1960 That Walt Disney Carried
The VIII Olympic Winter Games took place over February 18-28, 1960 at Squaw Valley and Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Did you know that it was Walt Disney who came up with the iconic idea of the flags of all nations participating in the games to be displayed together on poles? As with the snow sculptures, these poles were sponsored by civic-minded companies and individuals, some of them from overseas.
Fun Fact: Having official sponsors was another “first” introduced at this event.
