Avengers: Age of Ultron Movie Review

I am a big action film lover but am most times disappointed by how some films never live up to my expectations. With Avengers Age Of Ultron I was not left with this disappointment, in fact I was very surprised at how they were able to mash together comedy and action without sacrificing the story line.

I can’t wait to take my kids to see this they will definitely enjoy it! Do I think this movie is suitable for children I would say yes! It’s not that different from the cartoon versions of the hero so you can rest easy mom if anything you will be hearing COOL! AWESOME! during most of the movie. Also, mom, you should expect some great humor the movie that I loved I didn’t expect there to be any but was presently surprised.

My Favorite Parts of Avengers: Age of Ultron

Since it seems right that I start off by beginning from the start of the film I will say the first scene where the Avengers are thrown right into some action-packed scenes was AWESOME! There wasn’t any waiting and what I found super awesome was that you automatically get excited and are revved up for the movie.

My second favorite part has to be when the group was hanging out after the party had ended and they all tried to pick up Thor’s hammer. Check out this sneak preview of this scene below. Watch Thor’s face at the end of the clip)\

What I Would Love To See In The Next Avengers Movie

Well not to spoil the needing but I would love to get more clarification of what was shown at the very end of the movie! Sorry not much information but it’s the truth and I rather not spoil it for you guys. I also would love to see how each of the character’s relationships will develop since at the end they sort of part ways and take hideous.

Who would I like to see in the next Avengers movie?

Oh man, I honestly would love to see Ant-Man since he was supposed to be in the movie but ended up getting his own movie, I would also love to see some more of Agent Coulson since he was such an important character in the first movie who ended up moving on to run his own S.H.E.I.L.D. team.

Disney Nature’s Monkey Kingdom Movie Review

I LOVED this movie! I think I was literally in about 10 minutes of the movie and forgot it was a documentary when I say this it’s a good I FORGOT. I felt as though I was thrown into a Disneynature version of Cinderella’s story, yet this was Maya’s Story.

What I found beautiful about this movie was that not only was Maya the star of this unscripted film but she did not speak a word during the entire film yet you felt as though she was talking to you throughout the film. Might I add Tina Fey did an amazing job narrating this film and her playful and soft tone brought a lot of humor and light to the film?

As a mother or father, we learn about this unconditional love Maya experiences the moment all of our little ones are born and can very much relate to the excitement and sense of responsibility she felt once Kip arrived. The pain and struggles she went through to provide for him are spot on to what human mothers sacrifice every single day.

As with many societies, Maya was subjected to the hierarchy of which she was born in and fought hard to change that once Kip was born. I would hate to give away many of the high (exciting!) and low (heart-wrenching!) points of this movie AND HOPE YOU DO GO SEE IT but just so you know I cried tears of joy, heartache and excitement throughout the film.

Interesting Fact Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom

Nothing in this film is staged or scripted, in part of the movie the filmmakers actually asked the “humans” to not bother the monkeys if they would steal food. The villagers were told they would be fully reimbursed for everything taken by the monkeys and wanted to see how they acted in a natural environment. So in actuality even in the scenes where humans were featured they were not enlisted or cast in any scenes.

See how this classic fairy tale is given a new fresh take on one of the most treasured love stories of all time. Also, make sure you catch this special short at the beginning of the film featuring Frozen Fever.

Disney’s Cinderella Movie Review

My family loved watching Disney’s Cinderella Movie in theaters, we were in such awe. I loved how they dove deeper into Ella’s story and how it had a more realistic take on true love. One of the best parts about this film is the Frozen Forever feature that ran at the beginning of the film. It’s a must see so make sure you come early so you don’t miss it.

Frozen Fever

This mom was super happy to see Frozen Fever before the actual movie Cinderella! It was very cute and starred all of my favorite characters! I don’t want to give away the actual short film but it was uber cute! I loved seeing these famous sisters together as well as all of the other memorable characters. I will warn you, get ready to giggle and smile the whole way through as you see the Frozen group back together again.

*BREAKING NEWS* From Disney! – Frozen 2 Movie In The Works!

Disney’s Cinderella

The story of “Cinderella” follows the fortunes of young Ella (Lily James) whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother. Eager to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and her daughters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (Sophie McShera) into the family home.

But, when Ella’s father unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. Finally relegated to nothing more than a servant girl covered in ashes, and spitefully renamed Cinderella, Ella could easily begin to lose hope.

Yet, despite the cruelty inflicted upon her, Ella is determined to honor her mother’s dying words and to “have courage and be kind.” She will not give in to despair nor despise those who mistreat her. And then there is the dashing stranger she meets in the woods.

Unaware that he is really a prince, not merely an apprentice at the Palace, Ella finally feels she has met a kindred soul. It appears her fortunes may be about to change when the Palace sends out an open invitation for all maidens to attend a ball, raising Ella’s hopes of once again encountering the charming Kit (Richard Madden).

Alas, her stepmother forbids her to attend and callously rips apart her dress. But, as in all good fairy tales, help is at hand, and a kindly beggar woman (Helena Bonham Carter) steps forward and, armed with a pumpkin and a few mice, changes Cinderella’s life forever.

Ella’s Childhood Story

This honestly was a must-see for me since the cartoon version of Cinderella was played almost every other day in my home as a child. I have seen previous real-life Cinderella movies but many always left me feeling as though I never really got to know ELLA.

The thoughts I’m always left with are ” Who is she? Where did she come from? How did she end up in her position? Can she really talk to animals?” These questions of course have loomed in my head since my early years of watching the original movie.

At the very beginning of this movie you are taken back to Ella’s childhood which gives a look into her early years in life. This was so informative for me since I have always wondered about her parents and her mother in the previous movies. I felt as though it gave great insight into why Ella grew up to be the kind and generous person she was.

Her mother was able to teach her those things in her childhood that later on in the movie and her life she held on to and valued. Her mother taught her to always “Have Courage and Be Kind” No matter what! This lesson was valued throughout her life and more so in her darkest hours.

Ella’s Family

As many of us know her father dies and she is left alone with her stepmother and two stepsisters. In this movie, Disney went deeper into Ella and her father’s store giving insight into their bond and love.

I loved how they did this giving this store even more life and insight into how their classic Disney princess came to be. Ella’s new stepmother was played fiercely by Cate Blanchett who embodied a scorned woman well. The story plays out as the classic tale with her unhappy rude stepsisters.

Prince Charming

I loved how this movie introduced the prince and how they portrayed him as a relateable human being. I also loved the encounters they had together as they were magical and classic. In this real-life version, the prince stopped at nothing to find his lost princess. The lengths he went to just to find his lost princess stayed true to Cinderellas’s Mother saying  “Have Courage and Be Kind”.

I would highly recommend this movie for all the little princess’s out there, it’s defiantly a great film for the whole family that involves some really cute humor. I found myself saying “AWWW!” and laughing throughout the movie. Bring your family and friends to see this awesome movie since now it’s in theaters!

Disney Movie Reviews Review

Disney’s – Into The Woods Movie Review

“Into the Woods” is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick).

*We were not compensated for our thoughts and views, this movie experience was sponsored by Disney*securedownload

Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone), and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy)—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife (James Corden & Emily Blunt), their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch (Meryl Streep) who has put a curse on them.

Rob Marshall, the talented filmmaker behind the Academy Award®-winning musical “Chicago” and Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” helms the film, which is based on the Tony®-winning original musical by James Lapine, who also penned the screenplay.

Legendary composer Stephen Sondheim, who provides the music and lyrics—including an all-new song for the big-screen adaptation. Produced by Marshall, John DeLuca, “Wicked” producer Marc Platt and Callum McDougall, “Into the Woods” hits theaters Dec. 25, 2014.

Our Thought’s

I didn’t expect the movie to be a musical.  I’m not really into musicals, but story overall is good.  The beginning of the movie didn’t really intrigue  me at first, but as the story start to unravel with different twist and turns, it started getting more interesting.

There’s a lot of comedy in the film, and has a few romance and action in it too.  Some of the morals in the movie were pretty mature, its not your average Disney movie where everyone lives happily ever after, there’s a part in the movie where the Bakers Wife basically has a small short affair with Cinderella’s prince in the woods, the prince then leaves, then short after she gets lost and dies falling off a cliff leaving her husband on his own with their baby.

There’s a song that Cinderella’s Prince and Rapunzel’s Prince sang called “Agony”, it was probably the funniest part of the movie, everyone in the theater was laughing throughout the whole scene.  A lot of the songs were catchy, leaving me singing “Into The Woods” when leaving the theater.
