Chocolate Dipped Bananas Ingredients
- ripe (but firm) bananas
- chocolate chips or melting chocolate (milk, dark, or white – your choice!)
- coconut oil (optional, for that smooth, glossy chocolate coating)
- popsicle sticks or thick skewers
- Toppings galore! Try sprinkles, crushed nuts, shredded coconut, crushed pretzels, or mini chocolate chips.
Quick Tip! Turn a weekday night into a “build your own banana” bar. Place the toppings in little bowls, then put the kids in charge of decorating. It’s messy, it’s fun, and it’s worth it.

Storing Chocolate Dipped Bananas
These Chocolate Dipped Bananas are perfect for planning ahead and keeping snack time stress-free. After dipping and decorating, lay the bananas on a parchment-lined tray and freeze until fully set.
Storing the Chocolate Dipped Bananas is easy! Once frozen, you can transfer them to an airtight container or freezer bag, layering with parchment paper if needed so they don’t stick together. They’ll keep well in the freezer for up to a week, making it easy to have a quick kid friendly snack ready whenever hunger strikes.
When you’re ready to enjoy, just pull out a few bananas a couple of minutes before serving. Letting them sit at room temperature briefly softens the banana while keeping the chocolate firm, giving you that perfect creamy bite.

The Best Chocolate Dipped Bananas
Mix and match all of your favorite flavors for some seriously fun combinations. I love making s’mores topped chocolate banana’s. I just add mini marshmallows and crushed graham cracker crumbs, it’s a 10/10!
- Rainbow sprinkles
- Graham cracker crumbs for a s’mores twist
- Toasted coconut flakes for tropical vibes
- Mini candies for pops of color
- Sea salt flakes for sweet-salty magic
