Spring is around the corner and one of my favorite times of the year is approaching. Beginning on March 20th through April 12th, Gaylord National Resort is bringing back Bloom, a four-week celebration full of spring-focused activities. With endless offerings inside the resort, guests can also enjoy the beautiful sight of over 100 cherry blossom trees adorning the National Harbor.
Gaylord National Resort Bloom – March 20th through April 12th
During Bloom, the resort will transform into a spring oasis with endless experiences for guests to enjoy. With room rates starting at an advanced purchase of $189*, the resort will offer complimentary family activities for overnight guests on Saturdays including a new Bloom n’ petting zoo attraction.
From 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., kids can spend time and take pictures with furry friends on the resort’s outdoor rolling lawn overlooking the Potomac River.
For other family-friendly experiences, guests can head inside to the garden atrium for cupcake decorating and a plant-your-own-flower activity will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. From 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. guests will be serenaded by a pianist performance in the lobby.
Every Sunday, guests will also be able to meet our favorite furry friend, the Easter Bunny, who will be hopping around the resort’s lobby.

Along with the variety of kid-friendly activities, adults interested in sipping on refreshing drinks can visit the resort’s four bars to enjoy a special cherry blossom cocktail. For more imbibing enjoyment, adults can also head over to Belvedere Lobby Bar for a Springtime Spirits Mixology Class.
The resort’s Beverage Director will lead participants in an interactive class to learn how to craft three spring-inspired cocktails using fresh garden ingredients.
Complimentary food pairings prepared by the resort’s Executive Chef will be offered and participants will also receive a take-home gift. The class will be held every Saturday beginning on March 21st from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Tickets cost $35 and must be purchased in advance by visiting Tickets.GaylordNational.com. On Fridays from 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m., guests can enjoy a sunset jazz performance also taking place in Belvedere Lobby Bar.
Gaylord National Resort Bloom Event
Gaylord National Resort’s spa, Relâche, will offer a selection of cherry blossom-infused treatments. Spa-goers can choose from a massage, facial or pedicure that incorporates custom-blended cherry blossom body butter, oil, or scrub.
For ultimate relaxation, guests can book the Cherry Blossom Ritual package for $350 offering a massage, facial and pedicure combination.
Those who book the package will be gifted with a Rose Quarts Tree of Life pendant symbolizing love and beauty in honor of the cherry blossoms. Each cherry blossom service includes a complimentary cherry blossom tea or cherry blossom cocktail.
Overnight guests can also look forward to an EGGstravagant Easter weekend. On April 11th beginning at 7:30 p.m., guests are invited to partake in an exciting sunset egg hunt. For those who decide to take on this challenge, 3,500 eggs will be hidden throughout the resort’s garden atrium.
The Saturday night fun doesn’t end there, at 9:00 p.m. guests can enjoy a seasonal movie under the star’s experience also in the atrium.
Bloom at the Gaylord National Resort
On Easter Day, the resort will host a traditional Easter Sunrise Service on their rolling lawn beginning at 6:30 a.m. While enjoying live music, guests will be able to partake in a variety of experiences including Easter egg dyeing, crown decorating, lawn activities, and a parade with the Easter bunny.
Both overnight guests and non-overnight visitors can visit Pienza Marketplace on April 12th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. for Easter Brunch. Brunch offerings include an antipasti selection, a pasta bar, a raw seafood bar, a meat carving station, and a dessert station, and cost $68.00 for adults.
Ages 12 and older and $29.00 for children ages 4 to 11. Kids 3 and younger are free. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the restaurant or visiting the resort’s website.
