Sweet and Sour Turkey Meatballs

If you have been following me for a while you already know that my family is a mixing pot of cultures. I am a first-generation Filipino American that loves to cook Filipino-inspired meals. My Sweet and Sour Turkey Meatballs are a combination of my Asian cooking style meets American cuisine.

Recently I made a lifestyle change that consisted of eating healthier and living a more active lifestyle. In doing so I have been actively converting my beloved recipes into healthier meals.

In my current transformation of recipes, I switched my all-beef sweet and sour meatballs to a lean ground turkey meatball. To celebrate Valentine’s Day I cooked this special meal for my 4 little ones to show them just how much I love them.

The number one thing I love about this recipe is, I can use all organic ingredients with little to no added salt. It still comes out just as delicious as my traditional sweet and sour meatball. This recipe is also an easy peasy recipe you can create from start to finish within 15 minutes.

No need to marinate or use any kitchen tools, it’s a get your hands dirty kind of meal but without the horrible messy cleanup.

NEW Idahoan Steakhouse Soups

Recently I have been having my kids help me prepare this recipe since it’s so easy to make and is kid-friendly. I let them get their hands dirty while all I’m in charge of is chopping the veggies.

The last few dinners we have had together my kids have been all about this New delicious Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups. They currently have four delicious varieties: Loaded Potato, Creamy Potato, Cheddar Broccoli, and Cheddar Potato.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs with Soup

I found the best combo for one of the New Idahoan Steakhouse Soups and my sweet and sour turkey meatballs. The Creamy Potato soup makes for a delicious dipping friend for the sweet and sour turkey meatballs.

There is something about the sharp yet creamy flavor of the soup, paired with the sweet and sour flavor of the meatball that just makes this combination sing.
