The Grinch Cookies
You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch! Just saying that gives me so many childhood memories, watching it when it was a cartoon. YES! I am that old where I had to actually wait for it to air on Cable Television. In my time (I’m 25 but yet I feel older) we just had the cartoon movie, and it in my eyes is the timeless classic version.
Although, Jim Carey did an amazing job with his real-life movie where I actually ended up buying as many as 3 DVDs since it premiered. Somehow the disc gets lost or scratched. Hence the need to buy so many throughout these few years.

The Grinch Inspired Cookies
I love Cindy Lou Who from Whoville in the movies, she reminds me of my daughter where she doesn’t think badly of anyone and rightfully thinks everyone should have a merry Christmas no matter how naughty they may have been throughout the year.
It’s so beautiful how Cindy Lou Who kept pushing until the Grinch finally was able to start loving again and was able to experience the true meaning of Christmas where love is always a never-ending gift all year round.

The Grinch Themed Cookies
In honor of this beautiful and funny movie, my kids and I made some delicious Grinch Themed cookies. We are now sharing it with you and your family to enjoy. My kids love to do them during the week they are on winter break, leading up to Christmas day. A fun/delicious activity for us to do to fight boredom and cabin fever when we get snowed in.

Grinch Cookie Ingredients
- all-purpose flour
- baking soda
- salt
- margarine
- sugar
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- white sugar for decoration
- Peppermint Chips
How to make the Grinch cookie dough
First, we will preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the margarine and 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy in a mixing bowl or a stand-up mixer.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then the vanilla. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just blended. Add the peppermint chips and blend at low speed until mixed throughout the dough.
Bake The Grinch Cookies
Roll the dough into walnut-sized balls. Place cookies 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets and flatten slightly. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned at the edges. Sprinkle on the powdered sugar. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.
