Discovering Your Trufit With GoodNites, helping kids everywhere have a good night’s sleep. Today we are sharing KeKe’s Story along with a guide for bedwetters.
Discovering Your Trufit With GoodNites – KeKe’s Story
This is my beautiful daughter Keturah, we call her KeKe. She is one of the best big sisters you can ask for, when she isn’t fighting over who’s turn it is with the baby doll of course. Keke was an only girl for 4 years until I got pregnant with my youngest daughter Esuun.
This was a big change for Keke meaning she wasn’t the baby anymore and that she had a little person whom she would watch grow and help take care of. Keturah was fully potty trained by the time she was 2 years old and did very well with overnight sleeping schedules.
KeKe’s Bedwetting Story
After Esuun was born KeKe sadly started suffering from bedwetting. At first, I thought she may have just had a few accidents and that she was just sleeping very deeply. The reason for her bedwetting was actually more complex than most of us thought it was.
Now I’m not a doctor but I feel as though I know my daughter enough to have diagnosed her with something that is actually common in most cases. You see Keke wasn’t sick or needed to see the doctor, she actually had a few things happening that although seemed medical were actual mental and emotional.
Being a big sister was such a big change for her as well as realizing she was growing up. Here were a few things we were able to figure out after watching her for a few nights and discussing what was happening with her.
1. Sibling Jealousy
It’s common and happens but she was harboring some jealousy with her younger sister. This is very common amongst siblings and is easily solved by doing small things to get everyone adjusted to the new living arrangements. How I was able to solve this was to let KeKe hold the baby and to help me with some of the chores for the baby.
She would help me change her diaper and pick out her clothes for the day, Esuun ended up being her barbie doll for a few months. I also made sure to sit down and talk to KeKe and let her know that even though she has a younger sister, she would never replace the love I have for her in my heart.
2.) Are you afraid of the dark?
Well, KeKe is and to my surprise, this developed out of nowhere with her. It wasn’t as if she saw a scary movie but more of just her coming into herself and understanding the world around her.
I solved this problem by putting a night light in her room and one in the bathroom. I currently keep a small children’s size lamp in her bathroom which I keep on all night long in case she has to go potty.
3. Exercised her power of speech
There is a rule in our house where we are always supposed to voice our opinions no matter how small or big they are. This ends up backfiring on me sometimes when everyone wants to voice their opinions at the same time, but we are able to somehow find a way for everyone to take turns.
Something that helped KeKe overcome bedwetting was her acknowledging she had a problem and that she would fix it. It took a lot for her but she was able to let me know how she was feeling about becoming a big sister and her fears of the dark.
Bedwetting has never been an embarrassing issue for KeKe it’s always been something more of a bump in the road for her. I always reminded her that it’s ok to make a mistake, it’s how you avoid making that mistake is what counts.
After a few nights of her wetting the bed at the beginning of our journey, I immediately ran to CVS to get her some Goodnites Trufit Underwear. The thing I love about this new Underwear is that they aren’t your usual diapers, they are something much more special. To find them you only need to visit your local CVS Pharmacy store in the Baby aisle.
Instead of putting a baby’s diaper on her we able to put on normal underwear like sleepwear that has removable inserts. These inserts catch the nighttime accidents which then are discarded the next morning.
The thing I find super cool about these is that they are such an emotional booster for kids like my daughter who suffered from Bedwetting. Instead of having them put on baby-like diapers which can dampen their spirits, they are able to put on something that is just like their normal underwear.
Feeling Empowered With Trufit
Keke knows exactly where they are and loves being able to pick up her special underwear. She’s a pro now at taking out and replacing her trust disposable pads. What she loves the most about this new line of Goodnites is that she gets to wear her favorite color!
One of KeKe’s best moments was when she was invited to a sleepover, she was worried for a little bit that her friends would notice her Goodnites Trufit Underwear. She had no idea what they would say to her if they noticed or if they would think of her differently.
On top of them noticing her Goodnites Trufit underwear she was worried she would make a mess while she slept. To her surprise, she was able to sleep through the night without anyone noticing or making a mess! The Goodnites Trufit did its job leaving KeKe overjoyed.

Do you think Goodnites Trufit Underwear would help your son or daughter? Has your son or daughter ever suffered from Bedwetting? How were you and your little one able to overcome this journey?

My son never suffered from bedwetting which I was so thankful for. But I was actually surprised because I thought it is natural among kids. 🙂
I really like the idea of having something like this for kids who may have some mild bed wetting issues. Sometimes kids get tired and they don’t get to the bathroom in time.
We’re going to be starting potty training with my son very soon so I appreciate these tips! Will definitely keep in mind Goodnights as part of his training!
My son used a similar product for just a week or so. It’s a great thing to have when potty training a kid.
This is one awesome product. For sure many parents will find this truly helpful!
I love shopping in CVS and my friends tell me Goodnites is a great product, which is what you highlighted today! I think everyone has their own unique story when it comes to bed wetting! I think most children grow out of bed wetting for one reason or another, but it is always nice to know one is protected throughout the night!
Your girls are adorable. Trufit is a trusted brand. I used this with my kids.
These would be great for my niece. Never had this problem with my daughter, but she is still afraid of the dark!
This is a big help for the kids. You surely are doing a good job raising your kids.
My son has been potty trained for over a year when he is awake…when he is sleeping is an entire different story. I am always on the hunt for ways to help him stay dry!
Thank God for amazing advancements. Now kids can deal with accidental bed wetting with the embarrassment.
I love CVS, they have everything!! Good luck using the Goodnights!!
I remember how hard it was for my older son when the younger one was born. We had all sorts of acting out situations. Fortunately we got through it. And you will too. Glad you have Goodnights to help you out.
I always used Goodnites when my boys were potty training. I was always happy with how they worked to stop leaks.
My son suffered from a small bladder so wet the bed until it grew and I would have loved to have had these when he was growing up. He could never accept over night invitations because of it.
I think Goonites are wonderful. Wetting the bed can be traumatic and a confidence killer. Goodnites prevents that.
These look like a great product for a child going through this stage. Your daughters are so cute.
I vividly remember the potty training days…not fun for us! Good luck with these underwear they look like they’ll help a lot.
I’ll be going through this transition soon with my son so I appreciate the tips and the review!
We’ve been using these with our son for a few weeks now and I’m loving them! He loves that they are real underwear and I love that I don’t have to worry about him waking up wet!
I think Goodnites are such a great idea. They’re a perfect stop gap for kids with bladders that haven’t caught up with the rest of them.
Thank you for sharing the step by step tutorial. I like seeing exactly how the GoodNites TruFit work!

They are so adorable! I love their designs and colors, I have to check those out for my daughter. Thanks! 😀
Goodnights are a great thing for little ones who need protection at night! Mine only wet the bed when they were really sick, so we didn’t need to use these. I know kids do revert to bedwetting when a new baby or a big thing happens in the family.
Goodnites is an amazing product, we have used them with all of our kids. I agree with you about reinforce the positive behavior. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
