LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat Review
I remember when I was little I used to play with Lego’s all day long, now my kids do the same. Starting all the way from LEGO Duplo Blocks my kids have enjoyed building many different things. Never would we have thought that we would visit a hotel in Florida dedicated to one of our favorite activities.
During our summer vacation in August, we visited the LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat in Florida. It was tough to keep this secret from the kids since it was something I knew they would flip out over.

LEGOLAND Beach Retreat
Currently, LEGOLAND® has a LEGOLAND® Hotel and as of 2017, they have added the new LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat. LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat features a village-style layout with 83 beach-themed bungalows offering 166 separate rooms, each with whimsical LEGO® décor inside and out.
The brightly colored bungalows are grouped into 13 sections, each named after a popular LEGO Minifigure including Shark Suit Guy, Ocean King, and Sea Captain. Each center around an outdoor play area with fun and challenging elements, all within view of the bungalows’ shaded patios, where parents can put their feet up, kick back and relax while kids play.

Walking around LEGOLAND Beach Retreat
The property is decorated with real-life LEGO figures and themed displays, check out that pelican, The walls of some of the buildings as well as the style of the buildings and bungalows look amazing. I love how you really feel like you are in a LEGO world.
The kids had a lot of fun finding the displays around the property and even checked to make sure each figure was made with LEGO’s. They were amazed at how real the decorations looked and even debated on how hard it must have been to build it.

LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Bungalows
Each group of bungalows is given names of LEGO Minifigure’s, we stayed in the Lifeguard. As you can see the front of each Bungalow looks like a LEGO house many of us built as children.
Each cove centers around an outdoor play area with fun and challenging elements, all within view of the bungalows’ shaded patios, where parents can put their feet up, kick back and relax while kids play.
As you walk closer you will notice that even the sides of the house look like LEGO bricks. Everything down to the sign that tells you what number Bungalow you are staying in is made up of LEGO’s.

Beach Retreat Bungalo Room Tour
Say hello to your bed parents, this super comfy bed is situated in front of a fun mural. It really brightens up the room and gives it that welcome feeling as though you’re in a LEGO Movie.
Speaking of LEGO Movie there is a special channel on the TV that plays the LEGO Movie all day long. That means even if you just missed the movie you can wait till that one ends and watch the next one.
I personally liked the fact that the LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat provided us with some juices, water, and coffee in the room. The kids really liked the juice and drank that with their dinner that night.

The Kids Room
The kid’s room has a fun mural just in the parent’s room and also boasts a bunk bed and trundle. This easily slept all four of my kids since my girls like to sleep together. I like how the bunk beds featured the trundle, we use a trundle in our home to help save space.
It was really neat to see how beautiful the room was laid out as well as see the LEGO Duplo blocks. As a parent, I felt as though this room was definitely fit for my kids and even gave me as the parent my own personal space using the LEGO Themed curtain.

Inside the Kids Room in the LEGOLAND Bungalo
Esuun really enjoyed playing with the blocks the room provided, she built her own Bungalow. The room had some seriously awesome characters that kept the kids in WOW mode. LEGO® comes to life inside every room at the LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat.
Each room includes beach-themed LEGO models. if you are looking for a room with a view, you can enjoy picturesque views of Lake Dexter from nearly every sun-kissed corner. Make sure you check out the photo and video below of the super special Full double rainbows.

LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Pool
Take a dip in the outdoor pool which features some fun pool-friendly LEGO Bricks to play within the water. Life vests are available for free to all guests, I personally like to use these for Esuun.
Guests will enjoy a wide variety of poolside activities that are expected to include the sandcastle building, bean bag toss, and much more.
If the kids would like to take a break from the water they can head over to the outdoor play area. The sand area is also available to use for volleyball, building Sand Castles and so much more.

Bricks Beach Bar
Take a break from the heat and order some delicious food and drinks poolside. At Bricks Beach Bar, guests can choose from a menu of made-to-order food, drinks, and creative cocktails served both poolside and indoors.
Inside the Light House, you will find a fun play area for the kids to enjoy some super-sized Connect Four fun. Sandy’s Castle Restaurant is also located in the Light House and is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don’t forget to checkout all the different decorations around the Light House.

The LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Lego Castle
One of the coolest things this Retreat offers is this huge Castle, it’s available for the kids to play and is located near the front. I’m pretty sure if I let the kids do it they would be sitting here for hours just building things to put on the castle.
I liked that I was able to kind of sit back and take a rest as the kids stayed occupied playing with the LEGO’s. Did you notice something awesome about this castle? It is completely made up of Legos and is totally awesome!

Full Breakfast Buffet
I don’t think I have ever seen a complimentary breakfast buffet this big in a very long time. Sandy’s Castle Restaurant features a bountiful menu of creative cuisine designed to please the palates of kids and grownups alike.
A delicious breakfast is included with each night’s stay at LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat; dinner is available without reservations. My kids had a great time eating breakfast at Sandy’s Castle Restaurant.
There were many different options for them to pick from as well as an endless amount of drinks they all enjoyed. I highly recommend you stop by in the morning during your stay here to fuel up for a full day at LEGOLAND®.

Complementary Shuttle to LEGOLAND
After you’re good and full from the huge breakfast at Sandy’s Castle Restaurant, hop on the complimentary shuttle to LEGOLAND®. A free shuttle bus is available to and from the Theme Park entrance from 8:45 a.m. to one hour after the park closes.
See a Model Citizen for exact departure times, and for boarding assistance with wheelchairs and ECVs. Please note that LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat guests also receive complimentary parking in the resort’s main lot if they choose to drive their own vehicle.
I opted to use the shuttle so the kids could have the full fun experience of riding it to the park.
